Happy New year...
We say that little phrase so often, “Happy New Year” but do we really mean it or is just empty words? I hope and pray that 2012 is a happy year for each of you. I pray that you do not have to face too many struggles, but if you do, I pray the Lord will give you His wisdom and strength to carry on.
For me, 2012 starts on the road as I will be attending a music ministers’ conference in Orlando January 2nd through the 6th; and in case you were wondering, I have not lost anything at Disney World and will stay as far away from there as I can.
The worship choir will resume rehearsals on Wednesday, January 11, at 7:00 pm. We would love to see some new faces in the choir so please come and give us a try. Just drop by for a rehearsal (with no obligation) and see what we are about. Children’s Choirs and Missions groups will resume January 11 as well. Hand bells will resume in January too so be listening for an announcement.
I believe 2011 was a good year for First Baptist Church. We have seen many new families come into our fellowship, our Pastor has completed his first year with us, and the baptismal waters have been stirred more than usual. Praise God! I pray that 2012 will be even better. Will you join me in renewing your commitment to our Lord by being faithful in your tithe and your attendance to Sunday School and Worship? God has GREAT things in store for First
Baptist...we must be faithful. “Happy New Year.”
